A once in a blue moon weekend

Ahhhhh, so not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow! I started my 6 days a week schedule recently and am starting school on top of that here at the beginning of April! I was fortunate enough to have a full sat/sun off weekend this week for the last time in a while! Had a great time which included a fundraiser at one of the local Burien bars, relaxing, my first Japanese steak house in Tukwila! (amazing), more bars, The Big Climb today in Seattle (benefiting the leukemia foundation), naps and good food.

Tomorrow it’s back on the work wagon and work out wagon! Me an d Jillian Michaels are still getting along nicely. I start an actual diet in April I guess 😉

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Looking for a good workout? Don’t have a lot of time??

Hey guys!

So, I just wanted to give a workout recommendation to anyone looking for one. If you don’t have much time or much money or whatever the case might be look up Jillian Michaels on YouTube. Yeah, you can buy her full videos too (and I have purchased one: 6 week six pack), but there is a wide range of her videos on Youtube. The majority of her vids are around 20 minutes of high energy workout. All you usually need is maybe one or two 5-8lb weights. Some vids don’t need a weight at all. I have done everything from her 20min Yoga Meltdown (which I love and doesn’t need a weight, but you might want a mat) to her 45 minute Banish Fat Boost Metabolism video. I’m not going to lie, you might need an inhaler.

You might need to work out to a full video if you haven’t been working out regularly, but they are very beneficial and you feel great about yourself after. I have been doing a variety of these about 5 days a week for probably 5 weeks now. I feel a lot better. I am usually a healthy and moderate eater anyway, so I haven’t been dieting any further really.

Moral of the story is….I love Jillian Michaels!

School…and stuff…UGH!

Of course trying to enroll in school again can NEVER be easy! This should have been smooth sailing, but no. There’s always a catch. Now I have to figure out paying for classes. I usually have a scholarship that I can rely on, but this college is giving me a hang up.

Anyway, I’m still recovering from this weird sinus this I have been suffering from. The Dr. said it was viral, so I can’t use antibiotics. She told me to take a bunch of pseudoephedrine…which has taken away my appetite completely and I am having trouble sleeping…and so it goes.

I got stuck in the snow storm that is Bellingham this weekend while I was up for my sister’s babyshower. I got to use my snow chains for the first time. Let’s just say I despise snow even more now.

BUT! I go on! We shall see what March brings!

Lots of love,Layla Bell

It’s my sunday and i’ll cry if I want to

Oh, so not ready to head back to work tomorrow. Should be a busy week of getting life organized as well. I am trying to get myself back to school by April. So you know what that means!? No time for anything! Weeeee

I’m really ready to start school again though. Apparently I like learning. Go figure. Plus stress and me are tight friends these days and I tend to work better with a little chaos in my life.

Hope everyone is having a fun Monday.

Strange Sex

Watching some episodes of the show Strange Sex on Netflix. The first one was about cougars- a 75 year old cougar to be exact. I hope I have that much energy when I’m that age. I guess that’s the plan.

It’s very interesting though, the idea of men being interested in older women and why. I mean, it makes sense. More experience, less commitment, fewer games, more appreciating etc.

But then, similar things can be said for the opposite sex as well 😉

Next episode please!

Take your vitamins!

Oy!

The sick bug has finally taken hold for the first time this season, but that will not get me down!

Had a great time on Wed with the girls at The DJ Sessions presented by ITV LIVE presented at The Retro Seattle! Can’t wait to do it again!

I will be lying low until this fever subsides 😉

Love to all! Happy Valentines day!

Fun with bikes!

Waiting for the snow to subside and spring to come!

Oh hey! It’s snowing

After playing in the snow at the best time to play in the snow-2 am- I’ve decided to spend the rest of the day staying warm inside!

Getting ready for the Promo Event on Wed for IAM independent media!

Hope to see some of my fellow Washington Renagades there as well!

Lets get together seattle!

So here’s my idea an I think this could be really beneficial for The Renegade Girls if we can coordinate!

I know not everyone is available ALL the time, I KNOW I’M NOT, but maybe we can set a couple days a months and just GO OUT. Lets go to Seattle or the surrounding area (ballard, fremont, bellevue or any other destination if we can carpool or something? olympia? tacoma? everett?) and mingle! It doesn’t have to be all night. It doesn’t have to be a club. Just somewhere where the place is lively. We can just have a couple drinks or appetizers or whatever. We don’t need to be out all night either. I know we aren’t all on the dating scene (including myself), but that doesn’t mean we can’t go out and make ourselves NOTICED.

Lets get done up, confident and approachable. Make people WANT TO KNOW US.

“Oh hi! I’m Layla Bell and I represent The Renegade girls!” (Maybe we can get cards or something?) And then TALK ABOUT US!

Just a thought and a way to get together, get to know each other, as well as have a support system for those of us who don’t want to go out alone or are shy. We can play the flirty, fun, ambitious roles and really get our names out there!

I think having merch on us will HELP A LOT. Wearing our Renegadegirl clothing so we are easy to spot!

Anyway, this is something I would really like to get going. I KNOW ITS HARD TO DO THIS ALONE SOMETIMES, but we don’t have to do it alone!!!

Let me know whose interested!

We can make this happen!

Let me introduce myself: A long story short

Hello!

I know I really need to formerly introduce myself to anyone whose willing to read!
I am 26 years old and I life in the Burien area. I have spent the last 7 years of my life on an awkward journey of finding myself and moving from town to town. I started out in seattle after high school and migrated to the U district. From there I moved to Bonney Lake and that’s how I ended up on the south end of things. Boys! From Bonney Lake I moved to federal way and then a boy lead me to Puyallup. I then moved to Tacoma and now I’m in here! School and love brought me here.

I have been on a weird and winding road towards an education for the past couple of years. I just recently graduated from PIMA after a 9 month program to become a veterinary technician…only to decide I think zoology would be better! So, more school ahead soon.

That all being said, I’m a super busy girl. I have a lot of family and friends too, so there’s a lot on this plate!

I want to be a contributing member of The Renegade Girls and show my love to all the beautiful ladies out there!

Loves!

Layla Bell
