A once in a blue moon weekend

Ahhhhh, so not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow! I started my 6 days a week schedule recently and am starting school on top of that here at the beginning of April! I was fortunate enough to have a full sat/sun off weekend this week for the last time in a while! Had a great time which included a fundraiser at one of the local Burien bars, relaxing, my first Japanese steak house in Tukwila! (amazing), more bars, The Big Climb today in Seattle (benefiting the leukemia foundation), naps and good food.

Tomorrow it’s back on the work wagon and work out wagon! Me an d Jillian Michaels are still getting along nicely. I start an actual diet in April I guess 😉

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Renagade Challenges

Hey guys! I’m a little upset because my car still isn’t fixed. So, I can’t try to go do photo shoots or anything. So I have taken it upon myself and I set up my own photo shoot with my HD webcam. Hey, gotta do what I can right? I did an I Dream of Jeannie photo shoot! It turned out pretty good in my opinion. I’m working on the editing right now. I can’t wait until I get my car up and running and be able to actually leave my house for once haha. Before the shoot my daughter and I watched I Dream of Jeannie on DVD so I could get a good look at her hair and makeup. I tried to be as authentic as possible. The important part was I had fun, and learned a little more about photography. It’s important for a model to educate herself about every aspect of modeling. It will help that person be an even better model if they have a better understanding of lighting and all the other background work that goes into it. Well, that’s pretty much all I have to say for now. I hope you enjoy my pictures!

Looking for a good workout? Don’t have a lot of time??

Hey guys!

So, I just wanted to give a workout recommendation to anyone looking for one. If you don’t have much time or much money or whatever the case might be look up Jillian Michaels on YouTube. Yeah, you can buy her full videos too (and I have purchased one: 6 week six pack), but there is a wide range of her videos on Youtube. The majority of her vids are around 20 minutes of high energy workout. All you usually need is maybe one or two 5-8lb weights. Some vids don’t need a weight at all. I have done everything from her 20min Yoga Meltdown (which I love and doesn’t need a weight, but you might want a mat) to her 45 minute Banish Fat Boost Metabolism video. I’m not going to lie, you might need an inhaler.

You might need to work out to a full video if you haven’t been working out regularly, but they are very beneficial and you feel great about yourself after. I have been doing a variety of these about 5 days a week for probably 5 weeks now. I feel a lot better. I am usually a healthy and moderate eater anyway, so I haven’t been dieting any further really.

Moral of the story is….I love Jillian Michaels!

School…and stuff…UGH!

Of course trying to enroll in school again can NEVER be easy! This should have been smooth sailing, but no. There’s always a catch. Now I have to figure out paying for classes. I usually have a scholarship that I can rely on, but this college is giving me a hang up.

Anyway, I’m still recovering from this weird sinus this I have been suffering from. The Dr. said it was viral, so I can’t use antibiotics. She told me to take a bunch of pseudoephedrine…which has taken away my appetite completely and I am having trouble sleeping…and so it goes.

I got stuck in the snow storm that is Bellingham this weekend while I was up for my sister’s babyshower. I got to use my snow chains for the first time. Let’s just say I despise snow even more now.

BUT! I go on! We shall see what March brings!

Lots of love,Layla Bell

Take your vitamins!

Oy!

The sick bug has finally taken hold for the first time this season, but that will not get me down!

Had a great time on Wed with the girls at The DJ Sessions presented by ITV LIVE presented at The Retro Seattle! Can’t wait to do it again!

I will be lying low until this fever subsides 😉

Love to all! Happy Valentines day!

Fun with bikes!

Waiting for the snow to subside and spring to come!

Typing up the renagade training pages in the dark..

Power went out tonight. I am typing up the outline for the training pages in complete darkness, with only the warmth from my little pup Arrow Flynn, and the reflection of candle light. Reminds me of the times when I was a kid doing homework in the candle light, which is another story of having unconventional parents, and also when I stayed in Alaska for a month of the grid..
Stay tuned for the chronicles of Miss Laceylu Renagade. http://social.renagadegirls.com/friend-sign-up/?ref=helena-931

My upbringing as a gypsy...

My upbringing as a gypsy…

Let me introduce myself: A long story short

Hello!

I know I really need to formerly introduce myself to anyone whose willing to read!
I am 26 years old and I life in the Burien area. I have spent the last 7 years of my life on an awkward journey of finding myself and moving from town to town. I started out in seattle after high school and migrated to the U district. From there I moved to Bonney Lake and that’s how I ended up on the south end of things. Boys! From Bonney Lake I moved to federal way and then a boy lead me to Puyallup. I then moved to Tacoma and now I’m in here! School and love brought me here.

I have been on a weird and winding road towards an education for the past couple of years. I just recently graduated from PIMA after a 9 month program to become a veterinary technician…only to decide I think zoology would be better! So, more school ahead soon.

That all being said, I’m a super busy girl. I have a lot of family and friends too, so there’s a lot on this plate!

I want to be a contributing member of The Renegade Girls and show my love to all the beautiful ladies out there!

Loves!

dealing with Insomnia

Secret Causes of Insomnia!!!!!!
According to a “Sleep in America” poll released by the NSF in March 2007, if you’re a single working woman you probably spend the least amount of time in bed — sometimes fewer than six hours a night. And if you’re like many women in the survey, you probably also wake up feeling tired at least a few days of every week.
One of the primary reasons you aren’t sleeping? It could be something as simple as spending a bit too much time socializing with friends instead of hitting the sheets earlier in the evening. When this is the case, the solution involves a little self-discipline — force yourself to hit the hay earlier a few nights a week, and you’re likely to feel better overall, says Rosekind.
Sleep Problems and Your Hormones
“More than 70% of women complain of sleep problems during menstruation, when hormone levels are at their lowest,” says Amy Wolfson, PhD, author of TheWoman’s Book of Sleep
